the glorious exchange

Jesus walked, talked, and thought while on the earth. He is the most controversial person in history. Some love Him, some hate Him, but everyone has an opinion of Him. But underneath all opinions and slants is absolute truth:

• Jesus was, is, and will forever be, God’s son: perfect man and perfect God.
• Compared to the perfect Godly life, we are sinful, evil creatures.
• Because God is totally just, we deserve to be infinitely punished by Him for eternity, because we have infinitely offended His infinite holiness.
• But because He is God, and desires to see His own glory through His love for His creation, He sent Jesus to take our place under His wrath.
• Jesus indeed took our place: by submitting His entire life to God and ultimately dying on the cross, bearing the wrath that should be ours for sinning against God.
• Three days later, Jesus rose from the dead to conquer Satan, sin, and death and to show that because He died for us, we will live in Him.

This free gift of God’s mercy is yours today, and you are not only spared from God’s wrath but freed from sin and death through Christ. Just ask Christ to forgive you (He’s listening, I promise), ask Him to enter your life and radically change you from the inside out. Now follow Jesus with all you are.
