Thoughts on the Movement

Here’s some thoughts on what’s going on here in Greenville at Harmony:

  • We’ve got our first partnership candidate tonight. He’s a strong leader, and I’m excited about him coming on board as partner.
  • I got a check for nearly $800 on Sunday from a college student. Not sure of the story there, but I’m praying that this person graduates, stays in Greenville, and becomes a millionaire. With that kind of giving, sacrificial heart, the Kingdom needs more people like this person. Reminds me of another story at another church….see here.
  • We’ve got people stepping up to lead in the church. I personally have been out for a couple of weeks in various roles because of the wedding and such, but people have stepped it up. Special shoutouts to Justin, Brad, Clay, and Sherry. This church will be built on the backs of people like you!
  • Greenville isn’t ready for what God’s going to do at Harmony over the next year. And to be honest….I’m not either.

Time to put a seatbelt on.

My Wife

My Wife

I haven’t blogged in quite some time, things have been busy around here, to say the least. To fill some of you in, I got married. To the lovely lady in the picture ( I didn’t make her in Photoshop…she’s real). We went on honeymoon to Asheville, NC (pretty fun - did the Biltmore thing, Bele Chere, downtown Asheville, Chimney Rock, etc.). Well, we’re back, adjusting to married life, and gearing up for a busy year at Harmony. I’m stoked for what God is going to do at Harmony, but even more so, I’m excited for our marriage! Please pray for us as we begin this life together showing people the Groom and His Bride….and babe? I love you.

You Won’t Believe This Big Announcement

Miranda and I are getting married.

Wednesday, July 23rd.

We are having a small wedding (family only), and a pig pickin’ afterwards (it’s a Eastern NC thing-you might call it a barbeque).  We’ve decided to do it so suddenly for a number of reasons, but primarily because of my mother’s health issues. She may be able to be released from the hospital on Friday (which is a miracle in itself), but who knows if and when the leukemia will attack again. She will also be headed to SC to be with family because they can provide supportive care for her 24-7-365. All that being said, Miranda and I both want to get married with her there, and we both wanted a small wedding anyway, so it made sense. We moved our date up (quite a bit, but still quite doable), and will be married at 6:00pm this coming Wednesday. If you can’t make it to the after-party, still feel free to give us a gift! (Shameless plug alert). We are registered at Target and Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Click on the links to see the list. Of course, we’ll always take cash or gifts!

We love one another very much and look forward to displaying the Gospel through our marriage for the world to see! We love you as well, and can’t wait to see you in person!
