Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing
Posted in: Church PlantingOne of my spiritual gifts is discernment. I often have supernatural insight into the nature of situations and into the intentions of people. There are often people with evil intentions that hang around baby churches, looking to devour it and it’s people. Early on in Harmony history, I pointed one out, and he’s no longer around, to put it bluntly. He got to see how polite I am.
But recently, I blew it. What I thought would be a good situation turned out to be the devil in disguise. Even against the Church with Help, the Devil is still a mighty adversary, a defeated adversary, but a powerful one.
My takeaway is this: we must constantly be on the lookout for enemies in our midst. Wolves in sheep’s clothing. They are out to do nothing but disrupt the flock…and ultimately eat sheep.
We shouldn’t send them to other flocks. The only answer to a wolf in the pasture is a gun.
[Disclaimer: I’m not advocating shooting people, but if someone is eating the flock…I understand.]
