Greenville and Reputation

I’m still in Greensboro, NC. But as I converse with people here, I find one thing true about my hometown: it is a party city. Everyone I talk to here in Guilford County has either attended a party in Greenville, or knows that Greenville is a party town. That’s our reputation. Pitt County consumes 3% of the entire national alcohol consumption amount. That is a lot of beer. Seriously. It is up to the people of God to change the culture into one that more glorifies God through His creation.

    Hi Derek!

Don’t let people fool you – Greensboro is one drinking town. (One reason I’m glad to live in Randolph County just to the south… although there’s beer and wine in the stores and a couple of ABC stores, it’s otherwise a “dry” county.)

Ken (hubby) and I really only go to Greensboro to work any more. He’s out by the airport at RFMD and I’m at the new Starbucks off 85/the Loop (if you pass by there stop in and say hi!).

It’s been interesting to read another blogger in the Greensboro area… if only temporarily!

Kathi: I think you’re confused. I’m currently in Greensboro, but I was talking about Greenville.

    Right :)

I’m saying that Greensboro is just as much (if not more) of a party town that G’ville – and inviting y’all for a cup of coffee while you’re up here, if you happen into the store while I’m there!
