I read things like NewSpring having 150 salvations in a single night, after baptizing hundreds a couple of months ago. I read things like Elevation Church having 1000+ consistently 14 months in to a brand new church plant. I see planters like Tadd in Burlington who is having a great start to an awesome church in the Triad and church plants like Vintage21 who are outgrowing their current location. I’ve been following established churches like SeaCoast in SC (now in NC) as they are blowing up. I follow Andy Stanley as North Point continues to reach GA, along with other great churches like Ridge Stone Church and Lake Ridge Church.

My gaze turns westward and I see Mars Hill Church in Seattle going from 7 services to 13+ in a year, along with expanding to multiple sites and outgrowing them on launch day. I see Daybreak and Sunrise exploding. I hear great and mighty stories from Denver, San Diego, Las Vegas, LA. I see the leaders that God is raising up in our nation, and abroad. And my heart flutters and my mind thinks:

Is there an Awakening coming?

I think so. And I’m not sitting on the sidelines. I’m going to throw some TDs too. I play for the Kingdom team, and we all know who wins that game. Put me in Coach, I’m ready to play.
