Seeing Fruit
Posted in: General, TeachingI know it’s not a church plant. But in the young adult class I’ve been teaching at Faith Assembly (link) since the first of this year, we’ve seen 400% growth in 5 weeks: from 6 to 23. And we’ve lost some people. God has really been bringing people to hear His word taught. This past Sunday we had 5 brand new visitors walk in, unescorted by anyone (I later found out who had invited them). I think it’s important to note that this class is at 9:30 in the morning, before most college students are awake. It seems like people in the class are beginning to grasp a hold of investing and inviting their friends to church. We are a good mix of mature Christians, new Christians, and non-Christians. We have a short time for fellowship (who doesn’t like doughnuts?) and then we dive right into the written Word about the living Word. We’ve been going straight through the book of Matthew, which we’ll be wrapping up on Palm Sunday. Then it’s time to party like it’s 33AD because our Savior is Risen.
