I’m wrapping up a couple of books this week (Desire of the Everlasting Hills by Thomas Cahill and Advanced Strategic Planning by Aubrey Malphurs, both of which I highly recommend), and so I thought I’d share my upcoming reading list for the month.
- Jonathan Edwards: America’s Evangelical by Philip F. Gura
- Soul Cravings by Erwin Raphael McManus
- Grace Abounding by John Bunyan
- Next by Michael Crichton
- John Wesley’s Concept of Perfection by Leo George Cox
As you can see, I’m starting into the Puritans this year. It’s one of my objectives for this year. I’m also going to tear into the commentaries this year I got this past month. It’s going to be a great year for reading!
As a side note, I’m also getting a new computer coming up. I’m thinking about a tablet PC, any suggestions/recommendations/no-gets?
Nice reading list.
Hope the church planting preparation is going well for you brother.

He also kept a daily diary on his own spiritual life and piety. This kind of devotion is unheard of now. Some even, including Andy Stanley, teach against the kind of devotion that Edwards undertook, saying that it interferes with family life. [...]
